I want to share an important update. After my last newsletter, multiple readers—including someone I know and trust—reached out to say they were scammed by people offering shared access to Cision and/or Muck Rack accounts. I had included a mention of one such opportunity in that issue.

I’ve since removed it from the live version, but since I can’t change the newsletter that already hit your inbox, I wanted to make sure I brought this to your attention and encourage you to be extremely cautious with any offers like this. Vet thoroughly, ask for references, and make sure you have a solid contract in place before handing over any money.

I’m so sorry for sharing something that may have put anyone at risk. I’ll be more vigilant going forward—and I appreciate those who flagged this.
